Cat Friendly Clinic

Cat Friendly Clinic is a worldwide programme from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).

Because of their unique nature and needs, taking cats to the veterinary surgery can be very stressful, both for cats and owners.  The cat friendly clinic programme has been developed by ISFM  to help address these issues by helping to make veterinary clinics more welcoming to cats and cat clients, so reducing the stress of veterinary visits for cats and their owners and to make treating and handling cats easier for veterinary staff.

There are certain requirements regarding  design, equipment and facilities within the clinic, and the standard of care for cats, which must all be met to achieve accreditation. Clinics are contacted annually for reaccreditation and to confirm that the criteria are still being met.

Rosevean has been awarded Silver accreditation. For further information about what this means for you and your cat please feel free to speak to Kate or David, our ‘Cat Advocates’, or look for online.
